I have loved making art for as long as I can remember, be it endless patterns of henna or ornate 'rangoli' designs (colored powder used to decorate home entrances for Diwali) or sketching fashion illustrations in my sketchbook.
But as a15-year old growing up in Mumbai, India, I decided to choose a more stable career path for myself. Over the next fifteen years, I became a Chartered Accountant (CPA) in India, moved to the U.K. for a Masters in Finance from the London Business School and worked in the investment banking industry in Mumbai, London and New York City.
It was through an after work art class at the New York Academy of Art that I got reminded of where my true passion lay - so much that I quit my job to pursue it full time. Over the next few years (in Singapore), I held successful solo exhibitions of my watercolors, ran a teaching art studio for children and adults and wrote, illustrated and self-published my first children's picture book, the 'Big Apple Kid'.
I currently live and work in New York City with my husband, two sons and fur daughter and spend most of my time creating colorful illustrations and patterns and telling stories through my art. I am constantly looking to collaborate with other creatives on new and interesting projects. So if my work speaks to you, write to me at
